Customer Lifecycle Workflow
A full end-to-end customer journey automation for a Shopify store — from first order to loyalty tagging — with zero manual emails sent.
The problem
The store owner was manually handling every step of their customer journey
Sending welcome emails, following up after purchases, and chasing reviews one by one — it was costing them hours every week and customers were slipping through the cracks.
- No automated welcome email after a new order
- Support tickets were being created manually
- Review requests were sent inconsistently or not at all
- Inactive customers were never followed up on
- No loyalty segmentation — all customers treated the same
What I built
A fully automated Customer Lifecycle Workflow in n8n that handles every stage of the customer journey — from the moment they place their first order to loyalty tagging 30 days later.
New order → welcome email
A New Order Webhook fires when a customer places an order in Shopify. The customer profile is saved to Airtable and Groq AI generates a personalized welcome email based on the order details. Brevo sends it automatically.
Day 7 — review request or recovery
After 7 days, the system checks if a support ticket needs to be created. Groq AI evaluates customer sentiment and generates either a review request email (happy) or a recovery email (unhappy). Brevo sends the right one automatically.
Day 30 — win-back or loyalty tag
After 30 days of inactivity, the system checks customer status. Inactive customers receive a Groq AI-generated win-back email via Brevo. Active customers are tagged as Loyal in Airtable and flagged for retargeting.
